The 180 Movie – A Christian’s Response
I’m a big fan of Ray Comfort. I just like the guy. Maybe it’s the winsome smile or the moustache, perhaps its the fact that he’s so widely despised by unbelievers (something Jesus promised would happen to us if we followed Him).
Ray’s latest foray in mass evangelism has been to produce a video called 180. The idea is that he can convince people to radically change their views on abortion (“do a 180″ so to speak) in a matter of seconds. So really the focus wasn’t evangelism per se but the preservation of pre-born lives.
Does this video do the trick? Would you be convinced if you were an atheist? How does it leave you as a Christian?
Watch the video below if you haven’t already and leave a comment.

I finally got around to watching it. Very well put, Ray asks good questions. There is a lot of misinformation out there about abortion, but its clear that abortion is wrong when you mention that the child in the womb is a human life.
I'm not sure if the video would convince all atheists but rather the certain demographic depicted in the film. The questions would need to be adapted. It is a good and valid comparison Ray offers though I think, and once you begin to pull that thread of misinformation with similar questioning it is difficult to imagine anyone being supportive of abortion, if they believe in God or not.
Perhaps the "swing voters" will be persuaded and for that alone this movie is useful. I can't help but feel that something was missing from the argument, though. The actual transition from Holocaust to abortion is left out of the film.
It would be interesting to try it out and see how people respond though.
